I grew up in North Carolina, which means I was lucky enough to grow up steeped in the greatest musical melting pot in human history (no, really): the American South. Chicken Fried is a celebration of Southern rock & roll in all its glorious forms, from Memphis soul to New Orleans funk, Hotlanta jam to Athens jangle, Florida swamp rock to Texas boogie.
Bassist Rick Kirschmann of Lost Sailors has helped me assemble a very talented cast of musicians: Alli Lurie & Andrew Field from Woodland Empire, Dan Lannon, Adam Bertapelle & Andy Rontal from The Walkaways, Tom Frisch on keyboards and Zach Vestal on drums.
